Grandma's jiggly arms

Blame it on heredity, gravity pulling you down, whatever - upper arm flab is definitely a problem area for women, especially as we age. Its a fact of life, that as we get older our skin loses some of its elasticity. The loose skin (and fat) on our arms comes from the lessened production of elastin and collagen combined with weight gain/loss. Scientific explanation and reasoning aside, I saw this cartoon in the paper last week and immediately thought of my mom and my girls. When my girls were younger, they used to talk about Grandma's jiggly arms. The importance of jiggly arms? Being able to give comfort and love to those they hold. I hope my grandchildren will remember my jiggly arms with the same fondness that my girls remember their Grandma's. A Grandma's hug can make anything better!
