Child labor laws not withstanding, every time Talan spends the weekend with us, we put him to work.
Just kidding. But the boy does like to clean. He mops, he sweeps, he wipes. Give him a broom and he'll sweep; give him a paper towel, he'll wipe up the floor. We finally bought him a toy vacuum cleaner so he could "vacuum" along side us.
But the last weekend Talan stayed with us, we were cleaning up Jayme's old room and he saw us using the real vacuum cleaner and decided he had to use that one. We also vacuumed the downstairs. Grandpa had the nerve to complain that we didn't do a very good job on the kitchen floor!
Here's Talan outside helping with yard work. He's sweeping the walkway and then he helped pick up the branches to put in the trash.
He sure does like to be busy. And of course, at this age he wants to do everything he sees everyone else doing.
Not having much experience with boys, I'm wondering at what age do they stop cleaning and just become a food vacuum.
